That's right- I'm moving Down Under! From Seattle to Sydney!

Whatever would posses someone to do something so absurd? "Why Australia?" people keep asking me. Well it's for work- I've been offered a new position within Expedia to manage the advertising sales for the APAC (Asia Pacific) region, namely on the AU http://www.expedia.com.au/ NZ http://www.expedia.co.nz/, and IN http://www.expedia.co.in/ POS (Points of Sale). Random thought: How different this journey would have been 100 years ago- the glory days of the British Empire were alive and well. I would probably have been sailing to Sydney by ship and once I got there, I might have bought some land to start a farm. Well either that or I could have gone to Ceylon to start a tea plantation. Ah, The Empire!

So come share this adventure with me! The trials and tribulations. What will happen along the way?! For one, I'll finally put to rest the old "do toilets flush in the opposite direction?" theory. Hopefully more on that once I get there.

The clock started with the call from HR saying i got the job... January 22nd 2008. I better get used to writing that the UK/Aussie way: 22/1/08.
